Welcome to Optical Communication and Biophotonics Laboratory
OCBL is an enthusiastic group of people actively working in the field of optical wireless communication (free space, underwater, and visible light) and optical instrumentation for biophotonics applications.
The group is headed by Dr. A. V. R. Murthy, Assistant Professor at the Department of Applied Physics, Defence Institute of Advanced Technology.
Currently, there are various PhD positions open under institutional scholarship/sponsored (CSIR-JRF, UGC-JRF, etc.) / MoD-sponsored category (Please refer to DIAT admissions for updates)
The group looks forward to hearing from interested Ph.D. students (preferably CSIR-JRF qualified) in the fields of optical instrumentation and biophotonics.
For more details about the latest research activities, visit the Research page.
